Unique features and popular cards in Chaos Rising

What makes Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising a must-have for many collectors is the set’s heavy emphasis on Mega Evolution. You’ll find five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex — including Mega Greninja ex, Mega Floette ex, Mega Pyroar ex, and Mega Dragalge ex — all of which are central cards for both strategy and collector value. In addition to these, the set includes five other Pokémon ex, 11 Illustration Rare Pokémon (IR) with exclusive artwork, and six Special Illustration Rare Supporter cards that rank among the most sought-after pieces for dedicated collectors.

Chaos Rising is also known for its ties to the Japanese Ninja Spinner expansion, meaning card design and composition draw on proven concepts from the Japanese market. For collectors who appreciate artistic value, the more than 35 cards with special illustrations and the 18 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards are particularly noteworthy.

Choosing the right Chaos Rising product: Booster Box vs. Elite Trainer Box

Chaos Rising is available in several product formats, each catering to different needs. The two most popular are the Booster Box and the Elite Trainer Box (often abbreviated ETB). A Booster box is the obvious choice for collectors who want maximum card yield and the best chances of pulling rare chase cards. You get many packs together, increasing the odds of completing the set or finding the most sought-after cards.

The Elite Trainer Box, on the other hand, is ideal for both new and experienced players who want a balanced starter package with extra accessories like sleeves, dice, and promo cards. This product format makes it easy to start playing or to upgrade your collection with a solid mix of cards and gear. You can read more about the options in our Elite Trainer Box collection.

Other product formats and uses

Beyond Booster Box and Elite Trainer Box, Chaos Rising is also available as single pack boosters, booster bundles, triple blisters, and premium checklane blisters. Each format has its advantages: single boosters are perfect for small upgrades, while booster bundles and blisters often include exclusive promo cards or evolution lines that can be attractive to both players and collectors.
