LEGEND mechanics and attacks

The LEGEND cards from the HeartGold & SoulSilver era are characterized by their two-part construction, where both halves must be combined to form one Pokémon on the battlefield. Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND 99/102 features the following attacks and effects:

Lost Crisis: Deals 100 damage and sends two Energy attached to this card to the Lost Zone. If this attack knocks out an opponent's Pokémon, that Pokémon and all attached cards are sent to the Lost Zone instead of the discard pile.

Moon’s Invite: Allows you to move damage counters from one of your opponent's Pokémon to any other of their Pokémon as you choose.

As a LEGEND card, the opponent takes two Prize cards if this Pokémon is Knocked Out.

Collector relevance and historical significance

Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND 99/102 is a popular choice for collectors aiming to complete their HeartGold & SoulSilver collection or to focus on the iconic LEGEND cards. The pairing of two popular Pokémon, the unique two-part format, and the attractive holofoil finish make the card especially desirable among dedicated collectors of Pokémon single cards and fans of this era.
